Schematic representation of a skin conductance response (SCR). The skin conductance level starts to increase after a few seconds following the stimulus onset, and this delay between the stimulus onset and the response onset is called the “latency.” From the results of two short tests taken at the beginning of the experiment, we extracted the value for the latency of each subject. In the data analysis for the main experiment, we calculated the stimulus onset time from the response onset detected and the known latency value.
