Fig. 8A–B

(A) Yield stress and (B) Young’s modulus measurements in control (dark) and bp (light) fractured and nonfractured contralateral tibiae at 28 and 56 days postfracture showed that the control and bp fractured tibiae were weaker than their respective nonfractured contralateral controls. No difference was observed in yield stress between bp and wild-type fractured calluses. With time, the baseline yield stress and Young’s modulus increased in bp and wild-type groups, suggesting a stiffer bone with age.
