Figure 10

The development of Torsades de Pointes (TdP) arrhythmia correlated better with the increase in short-term QT variability than with QTc changes in dogs. Two representative individual Poincaré plots show increased short-term variability of QT following combined IKr (by dofetilide) and IKs (by HMR-1556) block in a dog that later developed TdP (left panel) compared with a dog where TdP did not occur (right panel).
