LV performance to increasing Ca2+ concentrations in the perfusate was blunted in the hearts following T/HS lymph infusion. In control rat hearts, LVDP and the rates of rise (+dP/dtmax) and fall (−dP/dtmax) were increased with an acute increase in Ca2+ concentration.
