Table 2. Relative mitochondrial mRNA expression and relative mtDNA copy number.

qPCR derived ΔΔCT values for mitochondrial RNAs from age matched PolgD257A/D257A (n=4, mice P4–P7) and Polgwt/wt littermates (n=4, mice W3–W6). Two tail t-test indicated all ΔCT values to be significant (p=0.014 to 6.4E-05). Relative mtDNA copy number was determined using Southern blotting. Data is also presented normalized to relative mtDNA copy number “(normalized)”.
