51Cr release assays were performed for 18 hr at lymphocyte∶ target ratios of 25∶1, 12∶1, 6∶1 and 3∶1, in the presence or absence of K562 immune serum. Solid black lines represent the responses of MNC in the presence of immune serum. Dashed lines represent levels of cytotoxicity in naive MNC without serum. Dotted lines represent the responses of nylon wool non adherent cells in the presence of immune serum. In the presence of immune serum, there was no statistically significant difference between the responses of MNC and nylon wool non adherent cells. The responses of nylon wool non adherent cells in the presence of immunised serum were significantly greater than samples without immune serum (F test; * p<0.05).
