B, AAV-Netrin-1 or AAV-LacZ was injected one hour following reperfusion in brain regions medial and posterior to the ischemic lesion in the ipsilateral striatum at the respective stereotaxic coordinates described in the materials and methods. Samples were collected at various time points as indicated for double immunofluorescence staining, qRT-PCR and western blotting analyses. Behavioral tests were conducted at 5 weeks after dMCAO and euthanized at 8 weeks after dMCAO.
