Four different strains (two toxic and two non-toxic ones) were incubated in mixed cultures for 19 days at three different temperatures a) axenic, b) and c) with inoculation of heterotrophic bacteria from a nutrient-rich lake and a nutrient-poor lake, respectively. Statistical significance (Mann-Whitney) for comparison of the samples from 26 and 32°C with 20°C: * = p<0.05, *** = p<0.001.
