Experimental support for the presence of It state in the folding of Cmeso. At the same low concentration of Mg2+ (0.075 mM), the UV and CD spectra of the mesophilic and thermophilic ribozymes are similar. This similarity, shown as difference spectra at 37°C, indicates that an It state is populated in the equilibrium folding of both ribozymes.
