Time course of pristane-induced alveolar hemorrhage. A. Incidence and types of gross pathology. C57BL/6 mice received a single intraperitoneal injection of pristane. Lungs were examined at day 0 (untreated, n = 7), day 1 (n = 9), day 3 (n = 11), day 7 (n = 12), day 14 (n = 24), and day 28 (n = 7). Lung gross pathology was classified into no hemorrhage, partial hemorrhage, and complete hemorrhage. B. Pathology of lung tissue from pristane-treated C57BL/6 mice over time.
