Binding of Rsp DNA binding domain (Rsp^DBD) to the fnbA promoter region. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays were performed in the absence (lane 1) or presence (lanes 2 to 8) of Rsp^DBD protein. Lanes 2, 3, 4, and 5 contain 15, 30, 60, and 90 nM Rsp^DBD, respectively. Lane 6 contains 90 nM Rsp^DBD and a 50 molar excess of the unlabeled fnbA promoter fragment.
