A total of 225 mtDNA control region Domain I sequences from the database of (ref. 33) were analyzed. The maximum likelihood estimate and the 95% profile confidence intervals of population sizes Θ = 2Nfμ, where Nf is the effective population size of females and μ is the mutation rate per generation and per site, and 2Nfm, the number of immigrant females per generation, are shown. The receiving populations are in the rows.
