Figure shows a side-on view of the S25 mouse olfactory receptor as described in Malnic et al. [31] with hexanol (labeled) docked in its binding region. The lipid layer surrounding the protein (helices and loops shown) is created using 52 molecules of dilauroylphosphatidyl choline lipid. These are the results of the modeling and docking studies using the Membstruk [40] and Hierdock [61] protocols.
