(a) King's College Criteria

Acetaminophen-induced ALF	Nonacetaminophen ALF
(1) Arterial pH < 7.3 irrespective of grade of encephalopathy	(1) INR > 6.5 (PT > 100 sec), irrespective of grade of encephalopathy
OR	OR any 3 of the following:
(1) PT > 100 sec	(1) INR > 3.5 (PT > 50 sec)
(2) Serum creatinine >3.4 mg/dL	(2) Age < 10 or >40 years
(3) Stage 3 or 4 encephalopathy	(3) Serum bilirubin >18 mg/dL
	(4)  Jaundice to encephalopathy interval >7 days
	(5)  Non-A, non-B hepatitis, idiosyncratic drug reaction
