Expression of the AR transgene in R26hAR^loxP:Osr1-Cre+ mice. Immunohistochemistry staining was used to assess expression of the human AR transgene in the AR transgenic mice. Different paraffin-embedded prostate lobes dissected from 8-week-old male R26hAR^loxP/wt:Osr1-Cre+, R26hAR^loxP/loxP:Osr1-Cre+, and R26hAR^loxP/loxP:Osr1-Cre− mice were stained with an antibody specifically against the human AR protein (Santa Cruz; sc-7305; 1:300 dilution). The sections were also counterstained with hematoxylin. Representative images are shown. Note that in the absence of human AR transgene expression in R26hAR^loxP/loxP:Osr1-Cre− mice, the human specific AR antibody fails to detect endogenous mouse AR.
