ATP13A2WT, but not the KRS pathogenic ATP13A2DUP22 mutant, regulates intracellular Mn²⁺ concentration. The intracellular Mn²⁺ concentrations of HEK293 (A) and N2a (B) cells were quantified, followed by 2 and 1 mm MnCl₂ treatment for 12 h, respectively. The intracellular Mn²⁺ concentrations of manganese-treated cells are plotted relative to those of the corresponding control cells transfected with vector. Results are presented as means ± S.D.
