Femora were placed on the prongs of a materials testing machine. A constant load of 0.05 mm/s was applied to femora until bone failure, during which displacement and force were collected at 100 Hz. Force and displacement values were normalized using terms as described in Materials and Methods. Whole-bone mechanical properties were determined from the moment vs. normalized displacement curves. n = 10 mice/genotype. Mean ± SEM
