Screening of potential diapause prevention agents indicates that three peptide analogs, 2Abf-Suc-FTPRLa (PK-2Abf), 2Abf-Suc-FKPRLa (DH-2Abf-K), and 2Abf-Suc-FVPRLa, are capable of preventing diapause (A) but that PK-2Abf also causes significant mortality (B). DH was tested at a dose of 1 nmol, whereas the other compounds were tested at a dose of 100 pmol.
