IFN-γ and IL-18 cytokine levels are increased in the sera of SPI-2 mutant-infected mice. BALB/c mice were infected s.c. with 103 PFU of ECTV, ECTV SPI-2 SADΔ, or ECTV SPI-2Δ. Sera were collected at the indicated time points. IFN-γ (A), IL-18 (B), and TNF-α (C) levels were determined by cytometric bead array or ELISA.
