SF, side of face; SO, supraorbital area; BN, bridge of nose; N, nose; UL, upper lip; LL, lower lip; LJ, lower jaw. Although not depicted on this schematic, the vibrissa responses were subdivided as: superior (SV), inferior (IV), rostral (RV), caudal (CV), or all (AV) if the entire vibrissa pad was responsive.
