Metabolites in 1-year-old mouse tissues

Tissues were harvested from 1-year-old Bhmt+/+ and Bhmt−/− mice. Hepatic AdoMet, AdoHcy, and plasma homocysteine and cysteine were quantified by high pressure liquid chromatography. Choline metabolites were extracted and quantified by liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-isotope dilution mass spectrometry. Data are presented as mean ± S.E., n = 8 per group.
