FPLC analysis of ³H radioactivity distribution in plasma subsequent to [³H]LPC injection. The Pla2g1b^+/+ (solid symbols, n = 3) and Pla2g1b^−/− (open symbols, n = 4) mice were placed on hypercaloric diet for two weeks. LPC was injected intraperitoneally (32 mg/kg body weight) after 11 h fasting (t = −1 h). Poloxamer 407 was injected 1 h later at the 0 h time point and plasma samples were obtained 4 h later (t = 4 h). Plasma was separated by FPLC, and radiolabel in each fraction was counted by liquid scintillation. Fractions where VLDL, LDL, HDL, and albumin were eluted from the column were identified based on comparison with standards as marked.
