The sequence of the full-length GlsR2 was submitted to the MFOLD RNA server. Putative box C and box D of GlsR2 are marked by the blue and red line, respectively. The 75 nt miR5 precursor, pre-miR5, folds into a hairpin structure suitable for Dicer cleavage (black boxed). miR5 is located in the stem region of the hairpin at the 3′ end and colored in green. The arrows showed the 5′ and 3′ ends of the 25 nt small RNA discovered from deep sequencing library which could be miR5*.
