Representative 500 MHz HR-MAS MR spectra of breast samples from a cancer patient (upper) and a non-cancer patient (lower). The spectra were taken for an average of 12.2 mg of core needle biopsy samples in D2O and 0.01% TSP with CPMG pulse sequence and 2 KHz spinning. Individual choline species were identified according to previous reports [13], [36] and comparison with an authentic choline sample.
