Infusion of the CB1 receptor antagonist AM251 (2.5 μg) into the basolateral nucleus of the amygdala (BLA) significantly increased corticosterone secretion, while there was no effect of AM251 infusion into the central nucleus of the amygdala (CeA) or the medial amygdala (MeA).
