These are typical examples of the first-order Bessel function graphs used to determine the radii of the IFs (a) and the tetramers (b). The y-axis represent the Bessel functions, the x-axis represents X = n p/d c n c, where n p is the pixel value of the relevant peak, d c = 46.7 nm, n c = pixel value for 46.7 nm spacing. The slope of the line of best fit for each graph gives the required radius whilst R 2 is the statistical error in fitting the line to the actual peaks.
