 Krüppel‐like factor 4 (KLF4) and β‐catenin expression in azoxymethane‐induced tumor and normal adjacent mucosa. Double staining for β‐catenin (green) and KLF4 (red) using mouse colonic tissue is indicated. In the normal adjacent mucosa, β‐catenin is located at the cell membrane. KLF4 is expressed within the epithelial cells at the top half of the crypt (white arrowheads). In azoxymethane‐induced tumors, β‐catenin is translocated into cytosol and KLF4 expression is decreased.
