Stability of soybean root GS holoenzyme in the native and the oxidized form incubated in root extract. The 4-d-old root extract was incubated in a DTT-mediated MCO system in the presence (DTT/Fe-EDTA) or absence of EDTA (DTT/FeCl3), and samples were removed at the indicated times. The reaction was terminated by the addition of glycerol to 20%, followed by immediate freezing.
