PDLP5 is induced by bacterial infection in an SA-dependent manner. PDLP5 protein (blue ovals) is targeted to and accumulates at PD, which is indicated by broken arrows. The cell undergoing death owing to a hyper-SA production via the feedback amplification induced by PDLP5 is colored yellow to differentiate from healthy neighboring cells. Potential but unknown pathways or signals are denoted by question marks.
