The evolution of the image of The Journal of Chiropractic Education. On the top row, volume 1, number 1, 1987 is on the far left in newsletter format. The first bound issue of The Journal of Chiropractic Education (top row, second from left) was printed in the colors forest green and silver to reflect the color of the ribbons on the hoods of commencement regalia for chiropractic degrees. The logo for the Association of Chiropractic Colleges was prominent on the 1989 cover since the association had assumed ownership of the journal that year. In 1995, the year of the chiropractic centennial, the journal was wrapped in a new cover (top row, third from left). The year 1997 brought Dr. Jacob’s final new cover design before her retirement that same year (top row, right). A new cover design and format for the journal came in 1999 (bottom left), the first year of publication under a new editorship. The format was changed to a full paper size in 1999, which has remained to the present day. The Fall 2006 cover announced that JCE was available online with a banner at the top of the journal. Volume 23 (2009) started with another new cover design, this one containing an image of a chiropractic teaching moment and announcing the inclusion of the journal in PubMed (bottom row, third from left). The logo for the 2011 silver anniversary celebration of JCE is present on both issues for volume 25.
