Over-expression of the amino terminus (RD-1) of RIP140 elevates adiponectin secretion. Left: Secreted adiponectin from transfected adipocytes was examined by ELISA. Control vector or flag-RD1 vector was electroporated into day 6 differentiating 3T3-L1 adipocytes. After two days, adipocytes were cultured in serum-free medium for 6 h. The adiponectin levels of culture supernatants were measured by ELISA. All values represent the means ± SD., n=3; *: P < 0.05 compared to control group.
