“Other less frequent chronic diseases” include congestive heart failure, cerebrovascular disease, chronic liver disease, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Patients who visited the hospital by themselves or who were referred from primary hospitals without initial clinical suspicion of scrub typhus.
