Wounded mice received a topical application of either calcium chloride, calcium-based nanoparticles (CNPs) or saline. Topically applied calcium-based nanoparticles did not enhance wound healing. However, topically applied calcium chloride significantly increased the rate of wound healing relative to controls. P-values were calculated using the Dunnett's test. The data is expressed as the mean ± SD.
