The total volumes of lesions and the percentages of lungs affected were calculated using 64-slice MDCT and were compared to direct visual quantification by slicing, photography, and image analysis. Means (95% CI) were as follows: volume of lesions in lung (cm3), 60.3 (30.8–89.8); volume ratio lesion/lung (%),5.3 (2.8–7.8); volume of lesions in lung (cm3), 34.7 (11.4–58.1); no. of lobes with lesions/total, 3.4/7 (2.3–4.4/7).
