Western blot analysis of AβPP cultures shows reduced expression of proteins involved in synaptic formation and mitochondrial fusion, but increased expression of the mitochondrial fission protein Drp1. Protein samples were probed for synaptophysin, PSD-95, Drp1, Fis1, Mfn1, Mfn2, OPA-1, cyclophilin D and β-actin.
