Total proteins of noninduced E. coli (IPTG −), E. coli induced with IPTG (IPTG +), and affinity-purified fusion protein were electrophoresed, blotted, and visualized by staining with Ponceau S (left). The results of western blotting against α-Zyspept3 using the same membrane are shown on the right. α-Zyspept3 specifically reacted with the 38-kD fusion protein.
