Memory function in HCV-associated encephalopathy: Voxels showing a significant positive correlation between CMRglc and the Luria quotient as a representative of the subjects' free recall performance were located in the anterior and medial cingulate gyri and the caudate nucleus, respectively, bilaterally, the superior temporal gyrus bilaterally, the olfactory cortex, parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala, and insula on the right, the calcarine sulcus and precuneus bilaterally, and the cerebellum on the left side. For statistical details, see the ‘Results' section. CMRglc, cerebral metabolic rate of glucose; HCV, hepatitis C virus.
