qmetabolite denotes specific metabolite forming rates (mmol/ [g of dry weight]/h), and qglycerol denotes specific glycerol uptake rates (mmol/ [g of dry weight]/ h). These specific rates were calculated using the data during the mid-exponential phase of the cultures to qualify quasi-steady state assumption. The results represent the mean values ± standard deviations for measurements from at least three independent experiments.

The AMS001 (pLOI295) strain failed to grow without coenzyme Q1 supplementation under the experimental condition.
