^aCopy numbers of MLV genomic RNA (vRNA) and 18S rRNA were determined in RNAs extracted from viral pellets as described in Materials and Methods. These values are expressed relative to wild-type values. The relative levels of virions in the pellets were measured by immunoblotting with anti-CA antiserum and are expressed relative to the wild-type values. Dividing copy numbers by amounts of virus yielded relative copies of the RNA per particle. ND, not detectable by immunoblotting.
