Body weights and food intakes differed significantly between NPY-SAP and B-SAP groups beginning 1 week postinjection and for all subsequent measures (*P < 0.05). Changes (Δ) in body weight were significantly different until 9 wk postinjection (*P < 0.05), after which time the NPY-SAP rats transitioned from the dynamic to the static phase of growth (B).
