The myogenic transcription factors MyoD1, myogenin, and Myf5 were upregulated at 2 weeks in supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles of the SS/IS Neurotomy group compared to normal muscles and the muscles in the SS and SS/IS groups. Myf5 was also upregulated in both muscles at 8 weeks in the SS/IS and SS/IS Neurotomy groups. Means and standard deviation error bars are shown.
