A. No significant genotype differences were observed for baseline tail-flick or hot-plate responses. N=10 mice/genotype. B. ECE-2 KO mice showed a lower analgesic response to a single injection of morphine in the hot-plate test compared to WT controls; this was observed up to 2 hr after drug administration. C. ECE-2 KO mice similarly demonstrated decreased responsiveness to a single injection of morphine in the tail-flick test. N=10 mice/genotype.
