Effect of simvastatin on RORC-γτ and SOCS3 mRNA expression induced by phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) in cells from healthy controls (HC) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU) patients. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from HC (n = 5–10, open bars) and CIU (n = 6–8, closed bars) were cultivated with PHA and simvastatin (S) for 48 h and assessed for retinoic acid-related orphan nuclear hormone receptor C (RORC)-γτ (a) and suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) (b) mRNA expression by real-time polymerase chain reaction.
