Coculture with inflammatory macrophages confers apoptosis resistance to NCM460 cells. NCM460 cells either mono- (mono) or cocultured with GM-CSF macrophages (M-g) for 3 days and were then treated with 20 μg/ml irinotecan or 10 ng/ml TRAIL for 24 and 8 h, respectively. A and B, cells submitted to a caspase-3/7 assay (A) or culture supernatants (B) were submitted to the M30 ELISA for the determination of apoptosis.
