Accumulation of sinapate esters in wild-type and transgenic fah1 Arabidopsis seedlings. Wild-type seedlings and transgenic fah1-2 seedlings were grown on modified Murashige-Skoog agar plates as described for Figure 3. Sinapate esters were fractionated by HPLC, detected at 335 nm, and quantitated using the extinction coefficient of sinapic acid. Each point represents the average of three replicates of 10 seedlings each ± se. Top row, Seedlings grown in the light (open symbols).
