Abbreviations: BRFSS, Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System; OR, odds ratio; CI, confidence interval; AOR, adjusted odds ratio; ELSP, English language survey preference; SLSP, Spanish language survey preference.
Derived from Healthy People 2010 objectives: 75% of the population aged ≥2 y should consume ≥2 servings/day of fruit (19-5) and 50% of the population aged ≥2 y should consume ≥3 servings/day of vegetables (19-6) (5). BRFSS assessed frequency of fruit and vegetable consumption (ie, how often) and not servings/day.
Model 1 is unadjusted; model 2 adjusted for sex, age, education, annual household income, employment status, marital status, household number, region, health care access, and personal physician.
