Increased phospho-tau after rmTBI. Controls or mice exposed to 5 head impacts (1/day for 5 successive days) were tested for phospho-tau by immunoblotting 30 days after the last treatment. Bands on the blot represent individual controls (C) or mice exposed to rmTBI (T). As a positive control, mice were also treated with chloral hydrate (CH; 500 mg/kg, ip) which is known to cause hyper-phosphorylation of tau. The symbols indicate significant differences from control with p < 0.05 (*) or 0.001 (**).
