Values shown are the average and se of six pooled samples from two plants each. S, P < 0.10 for GS7 versus the wild type, not significant for GS10 versus the wild type; Ca, P < 0.10 for GS7 versus the wild type and for GS10 versus the wild type. S and Ca concentrations in roots were not significantly different between the wild-type and transgenic plants, either under control conditions or after Cd treatment. DW, Dry weight.
