CtmPrP is degraded by the proteasome. Transfected BHK cells expressing wild-type or FLAG-L9R/3AV PrP were incubated for 16 h with (lanes 2 and 4) or without (lanes 1 and 3) 20 μM PS 1. Cell lysates were then subjected to Western blotting with 3F4 and anti-actin antibodies. The blot probed with anti-actin antibody confirms equal loading of total protein in all lanes.
