Analysis of the ability of DEC derivatives
to increase the level and the accumulation of endogenous β-catenin
(β-cat) in the nucleus. Some of the GFP-DEC constructs described in
Figure 3 were transfected into CHO cells (A, C, and E), and their
ability to elevate the endogenous β-catenin and induce its
translocation into the nucleus (B, D, and F) was determined by
double fluorescence as described in Figure 3. Bar in (A), 10

and DEC induced the accumulation of endogenous β-catenin in the
nucleus, DEC9 was unable to do so.
